Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LAVRIA collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our storefront, place an order, or contact us. Our storefront and ecommerce services are powered by Shopify.

Who we are

LAVRIA (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website and online store at lavria.online (the “Storefront”). The Storefront and the ecommerce services that enable product browsing, the shopping bag, checkout, order processing, payment and customer accounts are provided by Shopify, Inc. and its affiliates (“Shopify”). This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information we and Shopify process in connection with the Storefront.

For any questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal information, contact LAVRIA Client Care at clientcare@lavria.online.

Information you provide directly

When you place an order, create or use a customer account, sign up for correspondence, or contact us, you may provide information directly to us and to Shopify, including:

  • Contact details such as your name, email address, and shipping and billing address.
  • Order information such as the items purchased, selected product options (for example ring size), quantities, and order number.
  • Payment information, which is collected and processed by Shopify and the relevant payment provider; we do not store your full card number on our servers.
  • Account information you choose to add when using Shopify’s customer account features, such as profile details and order history.
  • Enquiry information you submit through our contact form, including your name, email address, order number (if provided), the nature of your enquiry, and your message.

Information collected automatically

When you browse or use the Storefront, certain information is collected automatically by us and by Shopify, through cookies and similar technologies. This may include:

  • Device and browser information, such as browser type, language, and screen settings.
  • Usage information, such as the pages you view, the products you interact with, and the actions you take.
  • A bag identifier and wishlist selections stored on your device so that your shopping bag and wishlist are preserved between visits.
  • A record of products you have recently viewed, kept on your device to personalise recommendations and recently viewed sections.
  • Approximate location information derived from your IP address.

Cookies and similar technologies help the Storefront function, keep you signed in where applicable, remember your bag, and understand how the Storefront is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some features of the Storefront.

Information from Shopify and service providers

Because the Storefront is powered by Shopify, Shopify collects and processes certain information on our behalf to operate the ecommerce services. This includes order, payment, shipping, customer account and fraud-prevention data processed through Shopify’s systems. We may receive relevant order and customer information from Shopify so that we can fulfil orders, provide customer support, and operate the Storefront.

We also rely on service providers that help us run the Storefront, such as providers of email delivery for Client Care enquiries. These providers process information only as needed to perform their services for us and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

How we use personal information

We and Shopify use the personal information described above to:

  • Provide, operate and maintain the Storefront and the Shopify-powered ecommerce services.
  • Process orders and payments, manage the shopping bag and checkout, and arrange shipping and delivery.
  • Manage customer accounts and provide access to order history and account information through Shopify’s customer account features.
  • Handle returns, exchanges and customer support enquiries, and respond to questions about orders, products, sizing and styling.
  • Remember your bag, wishlist and recently viewed products between visits.
  • Communicate with you about your orders and enquiries, and, where you have signed up for correspondence, to send you collection notes and previews.
  • Prevent fraud and other unlawful activity, and protect the security of the Storefront and our customers.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Marketing and advertising

Where you have provided your email address or created an account, we may use your contact details to send you information about LAVRIA products, collections and previews if you have indicated that you wish to receive them. You can opt out of these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting clientcare@lavria.online.

We do not engage any specific third-party advertising network, retargeting platform, or audience-measurement service on the Storefront unless and until one is actually added. If we introduce such services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe them.

Security and fraud prevention

We take reasonable measures to help protect personal information processed through the Storefront. Payment information is handled by Shopify and the relevant payment providers under their own security standards, and we do not store full card numbers. Shopify applies its own security and fraud-prevention measures to the ecommerce services, including device and transaction signals intended to help detect and prevent fraudulent orders. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Disclosure of information

We share personal information with Shopify and with the service providers necessary to operate the Storefront, process orders, deliver email enquiries, and provide customer support. We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or where we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, our customers, or the Storefront from fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party websites and links

The Storefront may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties, including Shopify and social media platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services, which have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you visit or use.

Children’s data

The Storefront is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at clientcare@lavria.online and we will take steps to delete it.

International processing and transfers

LAVRIA currently accepts orders for delivery to Canada and the United States. Because Shopify and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, your personal information may be transferred across borders as necessary to operate the Storefront and provide the ecommerce services. Where information is transferred, it is subject to safeguards appropriate to the transfer.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where we rely on it; and to request that your information be transferred to you or another provider. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at clientcare@lavria.online. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Shopify’s customer account features may also allow you to view and manage some of your account and order information directly.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Storefront and ecommerce services, fulfil orders, handle customer support and returns, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Storefront, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Material changes will take effect when they are posted on the Storefront.
